I went to Snug Harbour in Port Credit with a friend today. This was my first time visiting here and it won’t be my last; mostly for its winning location just beside the waterfront.
What a beautiful day as we chose to sit outside to eat our lunch, right along the boardwalk watching the boats and kayakers. The interior of Snug Harbour was nice too, but everyone chose to sit outside.
Snug Harbour is a seafood restaurant, so of course I had seafood. I chose the Blackened Catfish which came with roast potatoes and some veggies.
The catfish is supposed to be blackened and seasoned with Cajun spice. But I believe there was only a rub to simulate true blackened fish. It was just okay and I’ve had better catfish from smaller less expensive places. The fish seemed a little undercooked, they could’ve kept it in the oven for another five minutes. The potatoes you can’t go wrong. There was a dollop of sour cream and some gravy. I liked the thin sweet potato chip they added to look decorative.
I had the Key Lime Pie for dessert. It was not cheap at $8.95. I still enjoyed it and it was a big piece.
There were alot of servers and staff working so service was good and friendly. I’ll rate Snug Harbour 3.7 for now, as I need to try another dish to compare with what I ate today. I’ll be visiting again as I love Port Credit and the location along the water.
PS. I borrowed the first photo off the internet as I wasn’t thinking and didn’t take any pictures of the restaurant. But I’m pretty sure 80% of Mississauga already know about this restaurant anyway. I’ll take my own photo on next visit.
