Sorry all, I haven’t updated my blog in a while. I haven’t been going out much, and if we did its been to a main staple we’ve been frequenting the last couple of months, Lac Vien (which I’ve already written about).
We went to Panagio’s All Day Grill about a month ago for an early dinner. It was right after work so it was not busy at all. Panagio’s is located in a plaza right at the corner of Creditview and Britannia. The reason I wanted to try here was for their all day breakfast.
I referred this place as a modern diner (you get an image of a greasy spoon), but this place is more than a diner. Panagios is quite nice inside – very clean, modern diner with sort’ve a bar vibe (large screen tvs, dim lighting, etc.). It serves well made, affordable, quality food.
Here is a picture of my Eggs Benedict Poutine. I had a hard time deciding between regular breakfast (bacon and eggs) or poutine, so I compromised with the Eggs Benedict Poutine. Of course I did not eat it all, it was a little dry and could’ve used more gravy or sauce. Also after awhile the flavour got a little overwhelming. But overall, I thought the quality and value wasn’t bad.
We also ordered a huge burger with cheese and bacon. They used real bacon (none of this quick microwave, thin stuff that tastes like paper). The burger seemed homemade and handformed. It was thick and had a fresh healthy taste. We chose a fresh (not from a bag) salad on the side (instead of fries, since I had the huge basket of poutine).
The value and quality of the food was very good and the prices inexpensive. The only reason I won’t frequent it too often is its about a 20 minute or so drive away. If I’m in the area, then definitely I will drop in.

I’m glad you finally got around to this place. Its a great breakfast place with different choices than Sunset Grill and Denny’s. Plus its open all day!
