South Mississauga has alot of good independent restaurants. Its so nice for a change to dine at a unique place thats not one of your regular chain restaurants.
Anyway, we went to a restaurant called Thai Signature, on Lakeshore just east of Hurontario. Its in a small plaza. The restaurant is sort of outdated (maybe from the previous occupant), but it was decorated with lots of greenery and exotic accessories.
It was quiet, only a couple of tables were occupied. We also noticed quite a few coming in for take out.
The waitress was nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. We ordered the chicken fresh roll, chicken glass noodle, shrimp red curry.
The food was really good but we got full really quickly. We are two little people who can’t really eat that much. I wonder if the waitress thought we didn’t like the food…. We left one piece of fresh roll uneaten, and we only had a couple scoops from the curry dish, and one small serving of the noodles. I really liked the curry dish with the rice. But like I said, it filled me up quickly.
We still proceeded to order dessert – coconut rice and mango. It was a fairly large serving (compared to other thai restaurants). We forced ourselves to finish it. It was delicious too! The rice wasn’t too sweet.
We took the leftover dinner home with us and will eat it for snack tomorrow.
I highly recommend this place. Don’t let the dated decor fool you.
